Yes, you heard it right. Batman peed in his pants. This monumental event took place in the official DC Comics issue #6 of the series Batman: The Widening Gyre, written by Kevin Smith. Batman’s greatest nemesis isn’t the Joker, but himself! BATMAN…a real city in southeast Turkey.
Huseyin Kalkan, the pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party mayor of Batman, is accusing director Christopher Nolan and the Warner Bros. studio of using the city’s name without permission.
“There is only one Batman in the world,” Kalkan said. “The American producers used the name of our city without informing us.”
Kalkan claims he has evidence, which will show the city of Batman was founded before the 1939 debut of Bob Kane’s DC Comics superhero by the same name.
Furthermore, the mayor blames the film for several unsolved murders and a high female suicide rate, based on the psychological impact that the film’s success has had on the city’s inhabitants.
Poor Robin… Once again he is left unmentioned and will forever exist only as a lowly sidekick.
